"Itch"
ended up with a couple of number one songs on MP3.com
back in the day including the title track which reached
the the number one slot in the "Freestyle" hip-hop
category and the #1 song in the "Hard House"
Category "Origins"
. I was very encouraged and started dumping some money
and energy into developing my sound and promoting the
concept of Chainsaw Weasel...there were less than 30 copies
of "Itch I Can't Scratch" sold before the first
rendition of MP3.com went under. If you have one it is
a Weasel Collectable.

The
next Chainsaw Weasel album was more ambitious and saw
the last project featuring me as the primary vocalist.
"Straight
Out of Calvary" was also the first of my projects
to feature a mix of 4-Track Tape and DAW ACID/Sound Forge
work. The title track reached #6 on the "Experimental"
charts in 2002 and is a complete presentation of the Romans
Road to Salvation. This album probably had less than
100
total copies produced and sold on MP3.com. This was
a free to download album also and had thousands of copies
downloaded.

The
next project was titled "The Great Commission".
As I got familiar with using loops and samples I was freed
to try something ambitious, create a CD of musical styles
from around the world. I started in New York and worked
my way around the Globe..."spreading the Gospel".
This CD has 3 top ten hits on MP3.com and still has my
most downloaded tune "Amore
de la Cuba" (the number one song on the Cuban
charts November, 2002)

This
is my favorite album for sentimental reasons. Soundtrack
to a Dream featured some old vocals
from my wife's mother who passed away in 1975, I did some
of my best creative writing and poetry for this CD. Dream
had 4 top tens on MP3.com: Man
in the Mirror, Drive,
She
Cries Jerusalem, Spanish
Nights. This was my last CD on MP3.com...all those
after this I produced, mastered and had to press 100 copies
at a time. A few books with original art and writing were
produced to distribute with this CD. I will try to post
it when I get a chance.

Utopia
was my first post MP3.com project. I did some fun stuff
like recorded a live jam with my drummer friend Phil DeEncio
and then imported it to ACID and worked it over - Hard
Cheese is the result! There are still a few copies
of Utopia available out there...but CD
Baby is sold out. This also was the start of promoting
some of my artwork.
I got the my best reviews for this CD, with reviewers
saying that it looked like Chainsaw Weasel was growing
up!

This
was the 6th full length album from Chainsaw Weasel and
the most emotionally charged to date! I had been traveling
in Asia a lot, going to some clubs and making new friends.
Many of the songs are about specific
events or people.
I also lost my dog, Sheeba, after 15 years...Dead to Rights
is a tribute to her. I really like this album and it was
one of my most danceable and listenable CDs to that point.
Still a few left at CD
Baby!

After
my move to Colorado from California, I was very emotional
and struggling with separation from my friends and church.
For the first time in a few years I got out my guitars
and just started playing. This album is filled with original
guitar work from Creation
and Fall, Rolling
Thunder and Slip
Drone to Blues
to You. There was also some deeper poetry
written for this album. Heart
Storm is one of my most romantic compositions up to
this point. Still like 3 copies left at CD
Baby!

Orchestral
Techno was how one reviewer labeled Flux.
A dear friend lost his father and that vibe of loss permeates
this album. There are songs about a life in flux. I was
dealing with changing jobs, loss
of friends, lust,
being gone too much and missing
my kids while on the road. One reviewed wrote, "Chainsaw
Weasel is all grown up now and his latest release Flux
has a complexity and depth unlike any of the previous
albums." There is a lot of hope in this album.
100
original copies, that was it...don't know if any are
still out there?

Factor
6 will be my 10th album. It is based on my general theology
that aside from the essentials,(There is One God, Jesus
came to Earth, Died in our place, was Buried and Rose
again on the third day Conquering Death, No man comes
to the Father but through Jesus) no one has it all
right. This CD is a departure from my last two with a
heavier emphasis on ambiance. My producer friend called
is "Sci-fi Tribal" I hope you like it! Should
be here in March 2006.
